NATWEST CRICKETFORCE@SAWLEY & LONG EATON PARK CRICKET CLUB.
Timetable of events – 10th April 2011 – 10.00am to 4.00pm
Available all day.
Tasks to complete refurbishment of club’s two pavilions.
ECB Fun Factory – batting, bowling and fielding activities.
Nat West Road show – don’t forget to call for your free ‘rabbit’.
FREE BBQ for food and soft drinks
Junior Derbyshire CCC membership - free registration – main pavilion – Nathan Fearn.
Special activities.
8.00 - event car park opens – opposite Tesco Express on Wilsthorpe Road.
10.00 – volunteer registration and task allocation – main pavilion – help desk.
10.20 – kwik cricket ‘taster’ matches – round 1 with SLEP Head Coach – Andy Curzon
[may run second match with Matt Curzon depending on ages wishing to participate]
11.15 – cricket quiz [mainly for the youngsters] – main pavilion – with quizmaster Andy Curzon.
12.00 – official opening – main pavilion – Michael Hopkins [chair] with guests Jessica Lee MP, Mike Gatting, Denise Amiss, David Leighton [ECB] , Richard Lightbown [ECB], Mick Glenn [DCB], Neil Birkitt [DCB], Councillor Bill Camm [Erewash & Derbyshire County Council] and others.
12.20 – tour of event by special guests – with club ambassadors – junior members.
12.20 – autograph hunt – including meeting Freddy the Falcon the mascot of Derbyshire CCC.
12.30 – kwik cricket ‘taster’ matches – round 2 with SLEP Head Coach – Andy Curzon

1.00 – Special ‘test stars’ activity – preparing surround for practice net construction.
1.30 – junior montage construction – main pavilion.
2.30 – hanging of ‘cricket artwork’ prepared by Wilsthorpe Secondary School.
3.00 – Super Prize Draw – Arthur Winfield – main pavilion
4.00 – event closes
5.30 – event car park closes on Wilsthorpe Road.
Other activities.
Y8 Wilsthorpe School – producing a DVD record of the event – including interviews with volunteers, supporters, partners and guests.
