The finance is a real challenge

Been considering finance – various grant applications [e.g. Erewash Borough Council], fund raising activities [e.g. sponsored walk] and sponsor donations [e.g. Ryley & Evans] might raise £5000. Possible items needing finance likely to include steel work [e.g. £3000] and score board electronics [£2250]. Difficult to estimate building materials we might need to buy – presently hope we can acquire these items through in kind contributions.

One of the key issues is cash flow – we are likely to need money before season starts – put in action an action plan with Treasurer – speak to bank about £3000 overdraft facility, try and negotiate extended credit terms with partners who require payment and speak to main club sponsor about making payments prior to start of season. Additionally spoke to Partners Officer about approaching all of 2010 sponsors to seek payment early [i.e. 10 sponsors contributing £1750 overall]
