Using NatWest CricketForce branded letters

Had our third action group meeting. Completed review of projects – discussed such issues as dependencies [work that needs to be completed before the main day], specialist equipment and professional help needs [e.g. plumbers]. Finalised risk assessments including H&S plans. Simply need to finish the ECB H&S Plan – saved all documents through the process so have an auditable paper trail – very professional.

Then moved to next stage of the project – acquiring materials – joined by some other club members who can help with this quest. Agreed to approach about twelve local organizations – they are all ones where a member has some sort of connection – no cold calling required at this stage. The more we can obtain through our contacts the fewer items we will need from Wolseley Build Centres – the ECB CricketForce partner.

Includes request for refreshments – estimate we will need food/drinks for 250 volunteers and guests. Overall budgeting £2.10 per head.

In some of the cases have prepared a NatWest CricketForce branded letter formally requesting ‘in kind’ contributions – look impressive – but supports approach rather than spearheading approach.

A tremendous way to make our event stand out from the crowd
Also considered fund raising – having problems sourcing prizes for super prize draw. Must not forget to promote the sponsored walk taking place just into the new year – all revenue generated will help fund anything we have to purchase. This might be the steelwork which will have to be purpose fabricated – best quote so far is £3000 – and club volunteers would have to install.
