Went to the ECB National Club seminar in Swindon. Met John Chick from Witham CC in Essex – he is still filling in his planning permission documents – they seem along way behind ourselves – but time will tell. They have approached their local construction college but they are not willing to help. He showed me a ‘count down’ document he is using to generate excitement as the event approaches – only 133 days to go – he sending me an email version.
Had some thoughts on the journey home – something David Leighton said – he suggested the composition of the organising team should change as the priorities change – so I think I will in a sense suspend the main organising team for a couple of months and put together a ‘working party’ to procure all the materials we need. Probably include Andy Evans from Manor Pharmacy, Barry White our resident builder and Paddy Redmond a friend and non member of the club. They would all be new to the CricketForce effort.
